Advanced Technology and Education Program Campus at Tustin Legacy
South Orange County Community College District
The South Orange Community College District will use a 68-acre parcel in Tustin Legacy to develop its newest campus, the Advanced Technology & Education Park (ATEP). ATEP will be a unique, 21st Century campus that relies on partnerships and collaborations with technology-oriented businesses and other 2- and 4-year educational institutions. The initial one-acre campus is currently being developed at the corner of Red Hill and Valencia and is slated to open in late 2006 with innovative programs in Photonics (laser optics), Rapid Prototyping and 3-D model-making, regional homeland security, and others. ATEP is also working with the Orange County Rescue Mission, the County Sheriff’s Department, and other community-based organizations to explore collaborative opportunities for job training.
