Tustin Legacy offers many educational services to its residents to allow them to grow and thrive from elementary schools to community colleges. Most of Tustin Legacy residents reside within the boundaries of the distinguished Tustin Unified School District (residents living east of Jamboree Road are within the Irvine Unified School District). Currently, TUSD is constructing Heritage Elementary School (K-6) at Tustin Legacy, plus an additional unnamed 10-acre elementary school site as well as a 40-acre high school site have been identified at Tustin Legacy within the Master Development Footprint; however, design and development schedules are currently unknown.

Tustin Legacy is also located within the South Orange County Community College District where the Advanced Technology Education Park (ATEP) is located. This institution offers fee-based workforce development courses in advanced technologies, organizational development, lean manufacturing, and environmental design and compliance. Also located at Tustin Legacy is Rancho Santiago Community College District’s Sheriff Training Facility. This facility provides Peace Officer Standards on Training (POST) certified instruction through its Law Enforcement Basic Academy, as well as advanced officer training.
